The Observer, one of the UK's national Sunday papers, has called the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, "Britain's most engaged and creative urban food event."
The program includes gala dinners and festival lunches, cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, kids events, taste and try exhibitions and markets and professional competitions. Many restaurants offer special price menus during the festival.
The Manchester festival is the largest regional celebration of its kind in Europe, with events taking place in all 10 districts of Greater Manchester -Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.
