UK Jazz Festival Guide: Tenby Blues Festival in South Wales

This three day festival features real down and dirty blues blues performers - mostly men, mostly British, with an occasional visiting artist from the USA. The 13th century walled town, with its towers and arches is an unusual place for listening to this quintessentially American soul sound, but it works and it's very popular.

In addition to the ticketed performances in various Tenby venues, there are loads of free gigs scheduled on the Pub and Club Trail, all day Saturday and Sunday night. An acoustic open mic session is another Saturday afternoon highlight. Fans can compete for tickets to the next year's festival at a blues quiz on the last day.
