Arundel's Catholic Cathedral is a real knockout - visible for miles and looking more like a medieval French cathedral than a church completed in 1873. The designer, by the way, was Joseph Hansom who also designed the Hansom Cab.

For about 100 years, churchgoers at Arundel Cathedral have celebrated the unusual custom of creating a brilliant carpet of flowers down the central aisle of the church. When Corpus Christi mass is celebrated, at 5:30 p.m., worshippers trample the ephemeral creation under foot.
