The great variety of Jewish artists, Jewish humor and Jewish themes is put on show for five days every year at the Carriageworks in Leeds. Performances range from Klezmer and Word Music Fusion bands, Jewish stand-up comedians and Belly Dancing to serious drama, classical music and literary events. The highlights scheduled for the 2009 festival included musical comedy from America; Max Pashm's Klezmer-Balkan-ElectroBeat; a female impersonator Barbra Streisand; the award-winning monologue Spoonface Steinberg, and an adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's story, The Mozart Question, performed by actor/violinist Andrew Bridgmont.
