Flying the Flag for England
Devon's seaside resorts fly the flag for England in the third week of April. Highlights will include:- Fish and Chip Friday with special offers and entertainments around the bay.
- Morris Day on Paignton Green - Morris dancing of course. Other special events include the largest gathering of Morrises (or Maurices or even Morris automobiles) ever assembled. To participate in this international bit of silliness email the organizers.
- Cockington Cream Tea Day A gigantic outdoor tea party with brass bands, marquees, horses and carriages, set before the Cockington Manor House in one of England's prettiest villages.
- Cheers for the Queen's Birthday (April 21), Shakespeare's Birthday and St. George's Day (April 23) are part of the old fashioned English fun as well.
