London to Cambridge by Train

Fast trains to Cambridge Station leave from London King's Cross every half hour. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Standard, off-peak round trip fare is £29.00. Cheaper advance fares may not be available for this journey.

London to Cambridge by Bus

Buses from London to Cambridge take 2hr 10min and cost about £17.50. A limited number of "funfare" tickets may be available for advance purchase, online, costing £8.50 round trip. Buses leave hourly between Victoria Coach Station in London and Cambridge Parkside Coach Station.

UK Travel Tip; Early morning coaches and several journeys through the day make a detour to Stansted Airport, adding about an hour to the trip. Bus tickets can be purchased online. There is usually a 50pence booking fee.

London to Cambridge by Car

Cambridge is 63 miles northeast of London via the M11 motorway. It takes about 1hr 45min to drive. Keep in mind that gasoline, called petrol in the UK, is sold by the liter (a little more than a quart) and the price is usually more than $1 a quart.
