London to Brighton by Train

There are frequent trains to Brighton Station from London Victoria or London Bridge Station. The journey takes about an hour. Advance round trip fare is £12.50 when purchased as separate, one-way tickets (always check before purchasing because two one-way - or single - fares can often be cheaper than round trip - or return - tickets).

London to Brighton by Bus

Buses from London to Brighton take about 2h20 and cost £1 to £3 each way. Buses travel hourly between Victoria Coach Station in London and Pool Valley Coach Station in Brighton.

Bus tickets can be purchased online. There is usually a 50pence booking fee.

London to Brighton by Car

Brighton is 54 miles due south of London. It takes about 1h30 to drive. South of the M25 ring road, the M23 leads into Brighton. Keep in mind that gasoline, called petrol in the UK, is sold by the liter (a little more than a quart) and the price is usually more than $1 a quart.
