Canopic Jar from the Tomb of Queen Kiya, The King's Mother

In Egyptian burials, viscera were mummified and preserved in canopic jars. Queen Kiya, one of Akhenaton's two wives, was probably Tut's mother.

Canopic Jar at the London exhibition "Tutankhamun and The Golden Age of the Pharoahs" contained the mummified organs of Queen Kiya, one of Akhenaten's two wives and possibly Tutankhamun's mother.
