The Park and Gardens of Blenheim Palace were developed at the same time as the house itself. Or, to put it as Blenheim's architect, John Vanbrugh put it, "The Garden Wall was set agoing the Same day with the House."
Some of the finest landscape architects and garden designers of the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries were involved in creating the wonderful parkland and formal gardens, among them, the legendary Launcelot "Capability" Brown.
