Royal Ascot, the June race meeting at the Ascot Racecourse is as much about the British social season, dressing up and seeing Royals on parade as it is about racing and horse flesh. Every year, the fashionable and the genuinely lovely compete with the truly bizarre for the attention of the news photogs. Royal Ascot for 2008 was no different.
