If you're excited about the London 2012 Olympics but not sure you can make it to London, don't worry. You can still watch the games and pick up the vibe with hundreds - or even thousands - of other sports fans at public gathering places all over the UK.

Olympic "Live Sites", with large screens carrying live broadcasts of Olympic events will be set up at at least 18 locations around the UK. They will feature a broad range of UK-wide and local content in partnership with community, arts and media organizations.

The Live Site screens are being run by the London 2012 Organizing Committee, the BBC and the various host cities, as well as private sponsors and the National Lottery.
