Newsagents sell papers, magazines and a lot more. A typical UK newsagency carries sweets, soft drinks, cigarettes and ice cream. Newsagents may also sell a small selection of basic stationery, local postcards, guidebooks and maps, and lottery tickets.

Branches of WH Smith, at airports and train stations in the UK, sell sandwiches, paperback books and local souvenirs as well as foreign language and international newspapers and magazines.
