Cycling in Scotland - The NCR7 Around Loch Lomond and The Trossachs in Scotland
On Yer Bike! For Some of the Best Scenic Bicycle Trails in the UK

By Ferne Arfin, About.com

Find some of the best cycling for families, leisure and adventure cyclists in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. National Cycle Route 7 (NCR 7) cuts through the east side of the national park from Balloch, at the bottom of Loch Lomond, to Killin, near salmon rich Loch Tay.

Much of the trail is purpose built and car free. Even when you share a road with motor vehicles, it is almost always a quiet back road with very little traffic. All of the trail has a good, hard surface, suitable for any bicycle. And the Loch side stretches are relatively flat - good for families, leisure cyclists and plain old softies.
