Seen from the outside, Brighton's hip new myhotel looks a bit out of place in the center of a slightly bohemian, alternative district of shops, restaurants and theatres. Sweeping modernist lines, large blank expanses of tinted glass and white concrete look like something out of a Modernists utopia mistakenly plonked down amid the quirky and occasionally shabby streets of the famous North Laines.
But step inside and it's immediately apparent that this stylish new Brighton hotel is alternative at its heart and the spin is New Age. The brainchild of Andy Thrasyvoulou and New York designer Karim Rashid, the 80-room boutique hotel is supposed to combine "state-of-the-art technology with serene spirituality."
Okay.
