A Riot of Color in a Formal Garden

The Chris Beardshaw Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show - 2007, celebrated 100 years of gardening at Hidcote Manor. The Chelsea show garden was inspired by the paintings of plantsman Laurence Johnston, the original owner of Hidcote and creator of its gardens. The concept is a layering of colors and dense herbaceous plants within the geometry and formality of a garden of successive "rooms." The garden won a Silver-Gilt Award at Chelsea 2007.
