Early Spring in Richmond Park, London

From Ferne Arfin, About.com

Richmond Park, on the western edge of London, covers nearly 2,500 acres of rolling hills, acid grasslands, enclosed woodlands and secret gardens. Home to more than 100 bird species as well as 700 wild fallow and red deer, it has provided relaxed days out for Londoners and visitors for hundreds of years.

To get to Richmond Park take the Underground or a rail connection to Richmond Station. Then hop on a 371 or 65 Bus to the Petersham Gate. Check the park website for more about getting to Richmond Park.

The park is open from 7a.m. in the summer at 7:30 a.m. in winter and closes at dusk, year round.
