Now These Days Are Gone, the exhibition of rare, 1965 Beatles photos by Michael Peto, was held until March 2008 at the The National Conservation Centre in Liverpool a unique institution.

Here objects from all of Liverpool's National Museums are restored, repaired and preserved. Staff looks after everything from Roman sculpture to Cold War Space suits. The center was established after a study that revealed that 60% of the millions of objects in Liverpool's National Museums were in need of conservation.

The National Conservation Centre is housed in a Grade II Listed Victorian Warehouse, formerly the Midland Railway Goods Offices. Admission to the center is free and it is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Its Reveal exhibition, with its working laboratory and interactive exhibits is particularly popular, giving visitors insight into how scientists investigate and preserve objects.
