One of the pleasures of visiting Ightham Mote is the many different faces of the house. From this angle, it's hard to imagine that just round the bend there's a fortified stone tower, or that the house also contains the 20th century apartments of its last owner,Charles Henry Robinson, an American businessman who donated the house to the National Trust.

In addition to Robinson's private apartments, visitors can view:

  • The Great Hall
  • The Crypt
  • A Tudor chapel with a painted ceiling
  • A Victorian billiard room,
  • The world's only Grade I listed, historic dog house in the manor's atmospheric courtyard.
