Gatwick is the second largest airport in the UK. About 90 airlines operate from Gatwick's two terminals, serving around 200 destinations. The airport is also the departure point for many charters and flights to secondary destinations.
Essential Information:
Transportation options:
  • Gatwick Express - Frequent trains to London Victoria. Journey time, 35 minutes.
  • Regular Train service from Gatwick station to points all overe the south of England and connections to the national rail network. Check National Rail Enquiries for specific services.
  • Taxi - Metered black cabs serve all terminals. Typical fare to Central London is more than £80 and can take about an hour and 15 minutes.
  • Coaches - National Express is the largest operator, serving destinations throughout the UK.
  • Car Rental - All the major operators are present. Full list at the Gatwick Website.
Shopping and Dining:
There is a large selection of UK high street shops in both North and South Terminals. Duty free shops in the "satellites", after security, sell the usual assortment of luxury goods and souvenirs. Prices are only duty free for passengers leaving the EU.

Dining options include coffee and sandwich shops, deli, pizza a few pubs and wine bars. Dining is basically casual.

A free, "automatic" train links the North and South terminals.
