Guide Review - Eating Out in England - Prezzo Italian Restaurant, Leicester - Restaurant Review
An entry area, with leather sofas and glass tables at the bottom of a sweeping staircase, is just right for sharing a drink and a chat with friends while looking over the menu. The dining room itself has brick walls and leather-padded wooden chairs. The atmosphere is a rustic yet modern and relaxed. Big contemporary paintings add splashes of color.
I chose Pollo Carbonara, a baked pasta dish, from the varied menu. It was served piping hot in a rustic terracotta dish. Delicious and the portion was more than ample.
There's no real bar so you can't loiter after a meal unless you stay at your table. But the area is rich in bars if you want to continue your night out.
Prezzo is part of a large restaurant group with branches all over the UK. Check their website to find another.
