The traditional art of naturally malting barley is a dying one. The Tucker's Maltings Beer Festival is held in one of the UK's last six genuine Victorian Malthouses. Here malt is still produced from locally grown barley for beermaking. Every year, thousands of real ale fans and beer lovers come to the Tucker's Maltings Beer Festival, in the pretty country market town of Newton Abbot, to try out at least 140 different brews from Guernsey, Helston, Swindon and the West Country.

Thirsty punters better plan on staying nearby.
