Budget Hotels and Accommodations in the South West of England

Reasonably priced, 2-star bed and breakfast accommodation close to Cornish Beaches, The Eden Project, The National Maritime Museum and more. Some rooms have 4-poster beds, most have sea views. Nearby Crantock Beach is lifeguard patrolled.

The Deganwy Hotel, East Looe, Cornwall
Rooms are simply furnished but adequate in this family run B&B guesthouse overlooking Looe harbour and the Looe River Estuary. The view makes the place. No children or pets allowed.

Links Side Guest House, Bude, Cornwall
The Links Side Guesthouse is, as you might have guessed, right across from a golf course. It's also close to some of the best surfing beaches in the Southwest. Prices are reasonably and, for the doubles and family room, quoted on a per room basis. Rooms are comfortably furnished all en suite or with private bathrooms.

The Blue Bay Hotel & Lodge, Mawgan Porth Beach, Cornwall
This small, family run hotel is just 500 yards from the lovely Mawgan Porth Beach, on a private road near Newquay. Hotel rooms are inexpensive and there are also four comfortable heated, multi-bedroomed, self-catering lodges, with daily chambermaid service at very good weekly rates.

Pickwick Lodge B&B, near Bath in Wiltshire

Great Ashley Farm, Bradford-on-Avon, near Bath
Bradford-on-Avon is a very picturesque Saxon town, only about 15 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath. Great Ashley Farm B&B won the Taste of the West Food and Drink award in 2004. The farm, built of the typical local stone, also includes self-catering accommodation available at reasonable weekly rates.

Higher Woodley Farm B&B in Tavistock, Devon
This 19th century Devon farmhouse Devon is in the middle of a 150 acre working dairy farm with 80 Holstein-Friesian cows. In the scenic Tamar Valley on the edge of Dartmoor, it is also close to historic Tavistock, birthplace of Sir Francis Drake. Rooms here are simply furnished but nicely done for the economical price.

The Red Lion, Clovelly in Devon
The tiny fishing village of Clovelly, in Devon, virtually perched on the face of a 400ft cliff, is so special that there's an entrance fee to drive into the village. The Red Lion, right on the seafront has 11 fresh, cream colored rooms and good dinner+B&B packages.
