Original furnishings in a Guest Room at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel

Many of the large pieces of cabinetry in the guest rooms of the Menzies Welcombe Hotel are original to the mock-Jacobean house built in the mid 19th century.

Rooms are lavishly decorated with colorful, traditional fabrics and English chintz. Many have original features dating from the hotel's origins as a late Victorian country estate. There are fireplaces and massive pieces of cabinetry built specifically for this house. Bathrooms, each one different, have marble floors and counters, European tile, antique fixtures and fittings, huge bathtubs - some freestanding.

All the rooms overlook the formal, italianate gardens, the pond, the golf course or the rolling countryside and woodlands.
