Big Shakespeare celebrations are planned for Shakespeare's Birthday, traditionally April 23. Both Stratford-upon-Avon, his birthplace, and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, are planning full schedules of events - many free - to mark the Bard's 444th birthday

And this year, happy scheduling means you can attend both parties. The Globe in London will be partying Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20, while Stratford-upon-Avon has plans from April 23 through April 27, with most big events on the weekend of April 26-27.
