Once again, winter has arrived earlier than anyone would have wished.
This year, despite my annual intentions to dress warmer and hold out longer, I've failed yet again to make it to November 1 without turning on the heat.
So why am I going on about screaming down water slides and partying to live music in swimming pools? Because, obviously, indoor water parks are the way to chase the winter blues away. They've come a long way from the damp, chlorine smelling kiddie chaos of the past - though if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation or short break, possibly not the best choice.
If, on the other hand, you need to bribe some sulky adolescents to put up with following you around museums and stately homes, a short break at a really cool water park might do the trick. Here's the thing about water parks - they're good family fun, they're making a bigger effort than ever to entertain the adults in your party and...well, they remind you that winter won't last forever.
