There's nothing quite like a lovely, or dramatic, or romantic view to make a meal special. Even a humble burger or a plate of fish and chips becomes a treat when eaten with a sea view or by a mountain stream. And really grand food is elevated to the sublime by a riverside or in a rustling forest.
I've picked a handful of my favorite restaurants with views in England. More, in Scotland and in Wales, will be coming along but meanwhile most of these are easily reached if you're visiting the Southeast for the London 2012 Olympics.
