Book by Tuesday, 28 June and you could enjoy a first class rail trip from London all the way to Aberdeen or Inverness for just £25 one way. East Coast Rail are offering promotional first class tickets for travel between July 14 and September 9 (excluding the August bank holiday). The company has set aside more than 100,000 tickets for the deal.
East Coast lines from London travel to Leeds, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh (and beyond to Aberdeen), Durham, Lincoln, Harrogate, Glasgow (and beyond to Inverness). The offer includes free snacks and drinks for journeys of less than 70 minutes, hot meals, sandwiches, snacks and drinks for longer trips.
As of today, cheap tickets to and from Edinburgh during the festival period in August are still available. One word of warning though, this is a limited offer and grabbing a one-way ticket at this low price doesn't guarantee you'll be able to get an equally cheap return ticket. First class tickets from Edinburgh to London can cost about £200 for one way at the normal price.
