If you're round Edinburgh way this Sunday, November 21, you could have a say in which new band gets to play Edinburgh Hogmany, the greatest New Year's Eve party in the world. Those of you who have been following the story so far know that this year, the Hogmany concert organizers- including Leith Records - invited unsigned Scottish bands - or bands with a Scottish connection, wherever they live and play now - to compete for a chance to kick off the Hogmany concert, televised to millions.
The shortlist has been chosen and the five bands will perform before a panel of industry judges and a live, voting audience in Hog the Stage Live at the HMV Picture House, this Sunday at 7p.m. Tickets, £5 plus a small online booking fee, are on sale right now.
