Kent, right on London's doorstep, has called itself "The Garden of England" for years. You'd be right if that made you think of bucolic landscapes, rolling pastures dotted with contented cows, neat farms and orchards. But you'd only be partly right. It's also a place to find exotic palaces, continental style markets and beaches that rival anything you might expect to find much further afield. A new campaign, promoting Kent through the voices and faces of local people, presents some surprising new views and contemporary ideas for day trips and short breaks.
