Plan an Autumn Visit to Windsor Castle

Autumn is a very good time to visit Windsor Castle. The Queen's weekend home is open almost every day. When summer and school vacation crowds are gone, you can really spend time enjoying the history and the fabulous treasures. Windsor Great Park is lovely when the leaves are turning their autumnal colors too. Just avoid the last week of October, when most British school children have their half-term vacation.

Windsor is well connected, by train and bus, to London and the Midlands so it makes a fine day out...or several, since the ticket is good for unlimited visits throughout the year.
