Fun Days Out with Dad This Father's Day

Father's Day is this coming Sunday. Instead of a tie, a book or cornflakes and spilled milk in bed prepared by a five year old, why not take Dad on a grand day out for his special day?
The National Trust has come up with a wonderful selection of days out and there is bound to be one that will suit your special Dad to a tee.
In the East of England, for example, they suggest:
- A Vintage Hornby Trains Event, for your model railroader, at Ickworth House
- A Boys and their Toys Weekend at Oxburgh Hall with model planes, trains, boats and automobiles as well as flights by the Norfolk Model Helicopter Club.
- One Hundred Years of Cycling, a display and demonstration of vintage cycles by the March Veteran and Vintage Cycle Club at Peckover House in Cambridge - with a special Dad-worthy "pie and pint" menu in the tearoom.
- For history buff Dads, they are staging Muskets and Mayhem on the Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire, stepping back into the English Civil War era for re-enactments, an encampment, a chance to spot a Royalist spy in the crowds and skirmishes.
