Another Good Reason for Heading to Orkney...

The Captain's Galley, in Scrabster (north Scotland's port of departure for year round ferries to Orkney) has just been named The Best Fish Restaurant in the UK in the Which? Good Food Guide 2009 Editor's Choice Awards.

Only 10 restaurants in the UK were included in the list and The Captain's Galley was the only restaurant in Scotland to be so honored. It emphasizes sustainable seafood and boasts of serving fish landed 100 meters from its front door.

If you are thinking of going, better plan well ahead. The restaurant holds only 20 and is only open for two hours a night, five nights a week. Check their website for details.
