At Birmingham's Ikon Gallery, The Elevator is So Happy It Sings

This delightful - and free - contemporary art gallery, in Birmingham's smart new Brindleyplace area, is full of surprises. It's a definite must see, particularly if you are attending a conference at the nearby International Convention Centre (ICC) and need some relaxed "me time" to chill out. The food in its cafe cum tapas bar is lovely too.
