David Tennant, Patrick Stewart open in Hamlet at the RSC in July

Tickets are still available for The Royal Shakespeare Company's newest production of Hamlet, starring David Tennant, the latest incarnation of the BBC's popular Dr. Who, and Patrick Stewart as Claudius. The play opens in preview at the company's Stratford-upon-Avon theatre on July 24 (previews) and runs in repertory until November 15. Hi! Great blog, but sorry, this time you have it wrong. I just called the RSC box office and they confirmed that the entire run of HAMLET July – Nov. was completely sold out, with no returns for sale and no additional tickets released. Ah well. Thanks anyway.

Sorry about that Karen but tickets were available when I wrote the blog – which was based on information from the RSC announcing – the availability of preview tickets. I guess things move very quickly when such big stars are involved. It might be worth looking into some ticket agencies or tours that include performances as they may have snapped up some of the tickets. If you are going to be in Stratford when its on, you might also check in at the box office for returns. You never know. Sorry you were disappointed.
Tickets for Hamlet sold out months ago. I know because I’ve been trying to get hold of them for months. On ebay, you can now expect to pay £250 to £300 for a pair of tickets, so your information was simply wrong, gouk.
Some tickets were still available at the time the blog was published. However, if you are keen to see the production, it will open in the autumn in London, with the same cast, and you can see it there. You can buy then after September 12 or you can join the RSC and buy them Thursday of this week.
