Summer Solstice at Stonehenge - Plan One Very Special (And Very Short) Night
Monday May 5, 2008
The Summer Solstice, the longest day (or the shortest night, depending upon your point of view) in the Northern Hemisphere, is a very special time at Stonehenge. It is the one night of the year when visitors are:
- allowed to spend the entire night at Stonehenge
- allowed to park free
- given free access to the monument itself.
Leading up to Glastonbury, an overnight at Stonehenge might be just the great New Age experience you're looking for. And, if you aren't all that New Agey, just think - what a great place to camp out! You can tell your grandchildren.
