Bond Villains Feature at Bard's Birthday - RSC Celebrations
Saturday April 5, 2008

Not to be outdone by all the other Shakespeare celebrations going on, the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has planned a day of special events in Stratford upon Avon to honor the Bard's birthday on April 27. RSC actors and directors will talk about their personal experiences of working with Shakespeare at four programs and talks that would make a real treat for anyone interested in theater or a career in theater:
- Bond Meets The Bard Stage and screen actors - and Bond move villains - Alan Cummings (pictured above) and Julian Glover talk about playing Bond villains and the similarities between them and Shakespeare’s ‘baddies’.
- Table Talk with director Conall Morrison who is directing this season's production of Taming of the Shrew.
- Shakespeare and Me Actress Juliet Stevenson talks about playing Shakespeare.
- Getting Intimate with Strangers Actresses Penny Downie and Alexandra Gilbreath talk about portraying characters as people we recognize.
