Popping over to France for lunch, a quick, romantic getaway or a spot of EuroDisney-ing with the kids is about to get a whole lot easier for visitors to England's Midlands and Northwest. Virgin Trains has just announced new direct Eurostar fares from England's regions to Paris, Disneyland Paris and Brussels. The round trip fares, which start at £84, will be launched with the opening of service to the new St. Pancras International Terminal in London on November 14. Transportation to London, one-stop London Underground fare and Eurostar fare will all be covered in the single ticket.

The new direct fare services will leave from:

  • Carlisle
  • Liverpool
  • Manchester
  • Birmingham New Street
  • Preston
  • Glasgow
If you haven't considered how easy it is to fit a quick trip to the Continent into your visit to the UK, it's time for a rethink. Check out Eurostar - High Speed, Cross-Channel Passenger Trains Between the UK and Europe to see how it's done.
