The Secret Passages of Medieval York
Friday October 26, 2007

Enter an unassuming opening in a wall, like this one next to the appropriately named Hole-in-the-Wall Pub, in York and you could be off on an adventure down secret passages and alleys where cars and other noisy accoutrements of modern life never enter. In York they call these passages snickelways, snickets and ginnels. Follow them and you'll come across ancient chapels, wonderful views and the secrets of hidden Medieval York.
