Princess Diana is Remembered at Althorp

The end of this month marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Before she married, she grew up at Althorp, a beautiful 500 year old stately home in Northampton. It has been home to 20 generations of Spencers and it is where Diana is buried.
During the summer months Althorp is open to visitors and, once a year, on the anniversary of her death, August 31, they are welcomed free of charge and can visit her grave. If you haven't already booked your tickets for this year's open memorial day, it's too late - applications for the free tickets closed months ago. But if you are in the UK or heading here soon, you can visit Althorpe, any other day, until September 2.
